FAQ's of Atlas Concussion Treatment and Testing
Does Atlas Concussion Testing offer treatment for concussions?
Yes! Dr. Alden has trademarked his treatment strategy, known as the C1 Protocol, specifically designed to reduce neuro-inflammation and heal the blood brain barrier. Anytime that the blood brain barrier has been disrupted by a traumatic brain injury/concussion, inflammatory proteins are released into the body, specifically the brain tissue. Atlas Concussion Testing can provide a treatment protocol that utilizes specific nutriceuticals that have been scientifically proven to reduce neuro-inflammation and heal the blood brain barrier, along with dietary recommendations and brain based therapies that can be administered by your training staff. These treatment protocols have enabled athletes to return to their contact sport much sooner than rest alone.

Why should I switch to Atlas Concussion Testing?
This is probably the most common question that we receive. The answer is simple; because the research on SportGait computerized neuropsychological, gait and balance testing has proven its reliability for determining an athlete's baseline, and/or has sufficiently deviated due to a concussion injury to indicate the need for biomarker testing. Atlas Concussion Testing uses the objective and definitive Blood Brain Barrier Permeability Test (Array 20) to detect specific antibodies that appear and remain in the blood until the blood brain barrier is healed, thus allowing an athlete to return safely to competition.

How do athletes get their blood drawn for the Array 20 blood test?
Atlas Concussion Testing and Cyrex Labs have made arrangements with local lab testing facilities in your area to draw the blood. Atlas Concussion Testing can provide phlebotomists to your facility to draw the blood for your program’s convenience along with a certified representative from Atlas to facilitate the protocol. If your organization has its own phlebotomy, you may choose to utilize that method with an Atlas representative present.
